Personal data deletion
Instructions to request deletion of your Upostu account and associated data, including data obtained via Google or Facebook login.

1. Your Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of your account and personal data processed by Upostu at any time, within the limits provided by EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable law.
Deletion results in account closure and interruption of access to Upostu services that require authentication.
2. What Is Deleted
Unless longer retention is required by law, we will delete or anonymize, among other things:
- profile data (name, email, profile picture, phone number);
- links to Google or Facebook accounts (OAuth provider and social identifier);
- notification preferences and device tokens;
- active map presence and session data;
- published content and booking history, where technically removable without affecting accounting or security obligations.
Some aggregated or anonymous data may be retained for statistical purposes, without the possibility of identifying you.
3. How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion in one of the following ways:
Option A - Email
Send a request from an email address associated with your Upostu account to privacy@upostu.it, using the subject line: Data Deletion Request.
Include your first name, last name, and the email used for registration or social login.
Option B - From app or website
If authenticated, go to the Profile section and use the account deletion feature when available. Alternatively, contact us at the email address above.
4. Users Signed In with Google or Facebook
If you registered or signed in through Google or Facebook, the deletion request concerns data stored by Upostu. Deleting your Upostu account does not automatically delete your Google or Facebook profile.
To revoke authorization granted to Upostu, you may also manage app permissions in your provider account settings:

5. Processing Time
We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days of your request, subject to lawful extensions for complex cases. We will notify you when deletion is completed or if specific data must be retained due to legal obligations.
6. Consequences of Deletion
After deletion, you will no longer be able to sign in with the same credentials. Any active bookings, pending payments, or disputes must be settled before closure, where applicable.
You may create a new account in the future, but previous profile data cannot be recovered once deletion has been completed.
